Childhood, playground, mess making, resolution. I work in anything soft, resin, wax, clay and plaster but all of those materials ultimately transfer to clay.

ABOUT
ASH

My work explores machine manufactured experiences in the form of 90s consumer objects. I focus on the idea of mass produced happiness and blur the line between commercial messaging and lived reality.

Through familiar forms such as the milk jug, I share glimpses into childhood indulgences in mass produced convenience food and the toys that come with it. A simple milk jug, once a staple on every American table, is now a vessel for nostalgia. Instead of holding milk, the objects themselves are overflowing with sugary vibrant colors and drawings of snacks that defined our generation.
